Acts 20:18

Acts 20:18 (ESV): "18 And when they came to him, he said to them: "You yourselves know how I lived among you the whole time from the first day that I set foot in Asia."

Living for Christ is evidence that we belong to Christ. People should know we are His not by what we say but by how we live.

As Paul journeyed back to Jerusalem he stopped at Miletus and called the elders of Ephesus to himself so he could encourage them. He reminded them of how he lived before them. He served the Lord with humility, tears, and great sacrifice. He always proclaimed the truth and testified openly about our Lord Jesus before Jews and Gentiles alike, calling them to repent and believe in Jesus. His lifestyle serves as an example to all who call themselves Christians.

If you were put on trial for being a Christian would there be enough evidence to convict you? Our words are to match our walk. Don't tell people you belong to Christ, show them! As James put it, "Show me your faith apart from works, and I will show you my faith by my works...Faith apart from works is dead." Live by the words of John Wesley who said, "Do all the good you can, By all the means you can, In all the ways you can, In all the places you can, At all the times you can, To all the people you can, As long as ever you can." That is how Paul lived and this is how we are to live. Amen?

Father, we thank You for giving us all that we need for life and godliness. May we do our part and live in such a way that the whole world will know we are Yours by how we live we pray in Jesus' name, amen.
