Acts 2:42-43

Acts 2:42–43 (ESV): "42 And they devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers. 43 And awe came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were being done through the apostles."

Following Jesus is pretty simple if you are all in. It requires devotion to His Word, His people, His remembrance, and His intercession. The Holy Spirit will use a person mightily who is following Jesus. Devote yourself today and watch the Spirit move.

On the day of Pentecost, the Holy Spirit fell on one hundred and twenty followers of Jesus as they waited upon Him. They all spoke in Tongues (languages not known to them) and Peter spoke prophetically through the empowerment of the Spirit and three thousand people got saved that day. These then devoted themselves to the apostle's teaching, fellowship, communion, and prayer. The apostles continued in the empowerment and the first great awakening occurred!

Are you devoted to the four pillars of Acts 2:42? If not, you will not experience the fullness of Christ and the empowerment of His Spirit. If there were ever a formula in the Bible we should follow it's this! Following Jesus is more than a Sunday morning commitment. It's a daily devotion to His Word, His people, His remembrance, and His intercession. Devote yourself to these things and you too will see the Spirit perform many wonders and signs for His glory. Amen?

Father, we pray for a deeper devotion to You this day. We know time is short and our days are numbered. May we devote ourselves wholly to You now that You might find vessels of honor useable for Your glory we pray in Jesus' name, amen.
