Acts 19:11-12

Acts 19:11–12 (ESV): "11 And God was doing extraordinary miracles by the hands of Paul, 12 so that even handkerchiefs or aprons that had touched his skin were carried away to the sick, and their diseases left them and the evil spirits came out of them."

Faith is a requirement for a miracle to occur. It's not faith alone but also God's will that plays a part. However, faith is essential. When people operate by faith of any kind it opens up an opportunity for God to work miraculously.

When Paul arrived in Ephesus God began to do extraordinary miracles through him. People were being healed through items that touched Paul's skin such as handkerchiefs and aprons. The people were so superstitious that they believed these items could heal and deliver from the demonic, so God used their faith to do so. The purpose was not to start a healing ministry using these items but to use the miracle to authenticate the messenger. Paul was just the vessel, God was the one doing the work through the faith of the people.

Are you living your life with the kind of faith that positions God to do miracles? Salvation is the greatest miracle of all so if you are saved you've experienced at least one miracle by God. What else does He want to do in your life? We aren't to be miracle seekers but we should always believe for a miracle. The requirement is faith. Live by faith in every situation and trust God will respond according to His will. Amen?

Father, we give You glory and honor and praise. There is none like You in all the earth. Help us to grow in our faith daily. May our trust be without borders no matter what comes our way we pray in Jesus' name, amen.
