2 Corinthians 5:20-21

2 Corinthians 5:20–21 (ESV): "20 Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, God making his appeal through us. We implore you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God. 21 For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God."

God has one plan for mankind, reconciliation. He desires that no man would perish so He sent His Son to reconcile us to Himself. Those who have been reconciled have been given the ministry of reconciliation and are to spread the Gospel so others can be reconciled as well.

If you've ever played tag then you know once you've been touched "you're it." You now are responsible to tag others so they can be "it" as well. That is what it is like to be reconciled to God through Christ. We are "it" once we have been touched by the Gospel and we are now to go tag others. God wants the world to be reconciled to Himself so much so that He made Him who knew no sin to be sin so that we can become the righteousness of God.

Are you reconciled to God? If so, you have been given the ministry of reconciliation. Are you sharing what God has done by sending His own Son with others? The world is lost and hopeless. They need to know God loves them and desires to reconcile them to Himself through Jesus. God offers us Christ's perfection for our sinfulness if we will put our faith in Jesus. What an amazing God! Take this ministry seriously Christian. You're "it", now go tag someone else!

Father, we thank You for reconciling us to Yourself through Your Son. May we share the Good News with others so they can be reconciled as well. Give us boldness to be faithful with the ministry of reconciliation we pray in Jesus' name, amen.
