1 Corinthians 15:9-10

1 Corinthians 15:9–10 (ESV): "9 For I am the least of the apostles, unworthy to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God. 10 But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace toward me was not in vain."

The grace of God is so powerful that it can change a persecutor of the church into one of its strongest members. Never underestimate God's grace!

Your pre-conversion story doesn't define or limit you from becoming a great tool in God's hand. The Apostle Paul is living proof that God's grace can change and transform anyone into a powerful witness for the glory of God. Paul, when he was formerly Saul, killed and persecuted Christians until he had an encounter with Jesus on the road to Damascus. The grace of God met Saul and transformed him into the mighty vessel we know as the Apostle Paul. If God can do that with him what can he do with you?

Is your pre-converted past holding you back from being used currently? You were saved by grace and God will use you by the same grace. No one is worthy to be a witness for Christ. We get to because of the grace of God, the unmerited, undeserved favor of God. Stop worrying about your past. Jesus said, "It is finished." You are called to something great Christian. It will take His grace to accomplish it. Step into it and watch God use you in mighty ways despite yourself. Amen?

Father, we praise You for who You are. You are the God of grace and we are humbled by your unmerited favor. May we live day by day in the grace You have given us and may we allow it to shape us into the witness You are calling us to be in Jesus' name we pray, amen.
